Greater Victoria is comprised of 12 separate municipalities, each with its own municipal government. In alphabetical order these municipalities are: Central Saanich, Colwood, Esquimalt, Highlands, Langford, Metchosin, Oak Bay, Saanich, Sidney, Sooke, Victoria (City of Victoria) and View Royal.
